SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT

We're Here to Help

Are you or a family member struggling with a substance use disorder? Over 20 million Americans have at least one addiction, yet 10 percent of them receive treatment. Addiction is a brain disease that changes a person's behaviors and thought process - it can happen to anyone. This chronic disease affects the brain's chemistry to affect the reward system. Individuals with an addiction disorder seek substances instead of healthier options. Continual substance abuse can severely damage someone both mentally and physically.

Addiction is a treatable complex chronic condition. We aim to remove the stigma associated with this condition. We can help with the road to recovery from a first attempt to treatment to a continuation of care from an in-patient center.

We treat you Wholistically - mental, physical and wellness.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is the gold standard in treatment for Substance Use. MAT combines prescription medication to decrease or eliminate the harmful substance use and counselling/behavioral therapy to help manage triggers and any underlying mental health issues. The prescribed medication works: on the brain chemistry by blocking the euphoric effects of the substance used, to reduce physical and psychological cravings and normalize the body chemistry over time.

MAT has been proven to:

  • control withdrawal symptoms

  • control cravings

  • decrease risk of death due to an overdose

  • decrease potential physical, mental and legal dangers and consequences

  • prevent relapse
